The committee would like to inform all current and past members of Malvern Baseball Club of the recent passing of Life Member Marita O’Meara on Wednesday 25 November 2017.

Marita joined the club in 1981 with her sons Tim and Daniel and was an invaluable member for many years. Her involvement included Committee Member, Women’s Rep, Scorer, Uniforms and Canteen.

Marita was awarded ‘Best Clubperson’ in 1989 and 1990, the ‘Boomerang Award’ in 2003 and the Club’s highest honour of Life Membership in 1997.

Marita didn’t wish a funeral and a wake will be held on Friday 3 November 5-9pm at the Hawthorn Bowling Club in Hawthorn West. All Malvern Baseball Club Family past and present are welcome to attend.
