IMPORTANT- Conduct at Junior Games & Training
13 Feb by Michael Johnston
Hi everyone,
As we move through the junior season, we would like to remind all Malvern members and supporters of the standards we expect at junior trainings and games. Our shared priority is to provide a safe, calm and positive environment where children can learn, develop and enjoy baseball.
Dugout / Bench Access (Important)
During warm-up and games, only players, coaches and the team manager are permitted in the dugout or on the bench.
Under Baseball Victoria’s VSJBL Junior Playing Conditions, the bench is reserved for eligible match participants. Non-playing roles (e.g non-coaching officials or trainers) may enter only to perform a specific duty and must leave once that duty is complete.
We ask all members and supporters to respect this requirement at all times.
Supporter Behaviour – What We Expect
Respect umpires, opposition players, coaches and scorers at all times. Arguing or abusing decisions is not acceptable.
No bullying, harassment, intimidation or aggressive behaviour, whether in person or online.
Keep feedback to players positive and constructive — please allow coaches to coach.
No alcohol at junior fixtures.
If you are unsure where to stand or what is permitted, please speak with your Team Manager on the day.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping ensure Malvern junior baseball remains a positive experience for every child.
Kind regards,
Malvern Baseball Club Committee
